Question Do these gearboxes naturally come back to center when driving. My van keep pulling to the right. I had my pitman arm replaced but they took the gear box down to do it like in the video. If the steering wheel shaft and gearbox wasn’t center when installed will it cause it to pull? Iv replaced inner/out rods Upper and lower control arms Pitman arm and idler sway bar bushing and it keeps pulling. Wheel bearing are good Need help

Hello, Sorry to hear about your Steering problem. As for the Pitman Arm. There is only two ways to install it. If it is installed incorrectly. It would be very difficult to drive the vehicle. It sounds like to me you may have something else going on. I would recommend taking it to a shop that you know do great Frontend Alignments.

What were your symptoms? I have no groans or noises, but its hard to steer, almost notchy. Even if the frontend is off the ground.

My symptom was easy. I had a blown Gearbox Seal. In your case, it could still be the Gearbox. I would check the Power Brake Booster first. And check the hi- pressure line coming from the Booster to the Gearbox to make sure there is no restriction.

My 2013 Chevy express 3500 get steering wheel jam and brake system suddenly stop working I have to turn off and turn back on the truck and it’s start back to normal … I have replace power steering pump and brake is back to normal but steering wheel after flush getting worse and hard to turn can any one reply what is next to replace is hydro booster pump .?

Sounds like the hydro booster because it allows Power Steering and Brake system to work together. A Gearbox can cause steering to be hard especially if it is hard turning one way.
