The engineering that must go into designing and equipping a factory just to mass produce a modern automobile is nothing short of amazing. Not counting the engineering that goes into the automobile itself.

Thanks for the comment. On the other hand, these procedures are almost identical in all car factories in the world. So one company invents something and the others copy it.

I've built the Chevy Equinox at Cami for 17 years. There might be 5 mins of this that are at our plant but it's certainly not in the order they get built. I see the Pontiac Terrain almost as much as the Equinox. The opening plant shot isn't even Cami, it might be St Catherines engine plant or possibly Oshawa, I'm not even sure. I'm glad people are getting a look at some of the things that go into building a vehicle though.

Why is that you find most American built cars on the used car lots ? Terribly made cheap and in comparison to Japanese cars? They’re better quality and why people who used to own American buy those cars?
