Refined Horsepower best describes the supercharged 6.2L LSA engine that is standard in the Cadillac CTS-V and the ZL1 Camaro! It is smooth, quiet, and well-balanced -- all the while delivering breathtaking power when you need it. The baby brother to the monster LS9 used in the ZR1 Corvette, the LSA may be the best value, on a dollar-to-horsepower basis in the Chevrolet Performance LS-based portfolio.
Although it has the same displacement as our 6.2L LS3, the LSA has a unique, extra-strength cylinder block to accommodate the extra horsepower generated by the supercharger. The LSA uses a forged steel crankshaft, along with piston-cooling oil jets and high-flow cylinder heads under its inter-cooled supercharger to produce 556 hp at 6100 rpm and a whopping 551 lb/ft of torque at 3800 rpm. The compact design 1.9L supercharger incorporates an integrated water fed inter-cooler to assist the four-lobe, high-twist rotors in packing the rectangular port aluminum heads with a denser air/fuel charge. The LSA has a conventional wet sump lubrication system.
Chevrolet Performance's lightweight all-aluminum LSA 6.2L supercharged engine package comes complete from supercharger to oil pan, including water pump and individual coil ignition system.

ohhh yeah its true.. 100 hp more... but just take a corner and lets see what happend with that solid rear end and the lack of torque control make it a pain in the ass to drive... by the way this engine is much more advance in materials,tech etc... ohh by the way just buying a 150 dollars upgrade we gain +80 horse power... but the gt 500 already came with all the upgraded air filter/intake upgraded by K&N ohhhhh what a shame

DontBmad Chevy has a superior transmission that's why the zl1 and z06 smoked the gt500 can't do shit without a proper transmission and tire to handle it
