Hey George, Instead of replacing the whole fuse box you should take a look at any of the fuses. The factory used fuses that have silver plated pins. You will find that 100% of the fuses will have a heavy black coating on the silver plating. This is silver oxide and that is an electrically non-conductive material caused by silver being in contact with oxygen in the air and especially hot, damp air. Gently scrub the silver oxide off using a piece of Scotch Brite pad. Do this to every fuse in both fuse panels and you'll find that scores of INTERMITTENT electronic and electrical problems will disappear. This costs nothing but about 1 hour of time.

But it's a come and go type of thing it will work then next day nothing. Oh also acc not working properly and windshield wipers stopping in the middle of windshield all weird stuff which some of it just magically fixed itself

@@wickedest_sponge4251 yes, and that's exactly what the word INTERMITTENT means. Imagine that all of the electrical contacts of all of the fuses were taken out and covered with a very thin layer of glass then plugged back into the socket. At totality random times, any of the circuits would suddenly open then reconnect all by themselves. Vibration and the weather could affect this too. Any of these problems could come and go at random. The bottom line is that the factory should've never plated the fuse pins with silver. They should've used nickel.

@@mikejohnson-vq7ez yes. I do have to say that in the end, this wasn’t the only problem I was having. This helped fix some light issues I was having but the intermittent stalling was from the connection to my coil packs wiggling loose. I was able to fix that without replacing the connector/wiring harness and haven’t had any problems since.

@@brandonstorrs4533 well I’ve done allot to this one. And when it started ran so good. But now just cranks. And I tested the plug to the coil pack. And no power. Tested the fuse and no power to the fuse and a few others. But I have power going to other fuses. But with no power to the fuel injectors and coil pack fuses. Not including the ecu fuses. It’s not going to turn over. I appreciate the response. I’m going to take the fuse box apart and clean it today. Did you clean just the bottom of the fuse box? Or the chips the fuse box sits in also?

@@mikejohnson-vq7ez I took the entire fuse box apart and had the circuit board completely seperated because I wanted to see if there were any hairline cracks on the traces. Everything seemed fine. I just wiped it down and used contact cleaner on all the fuse recepticals. Good luck. I hope you find the source of the problem soon.

It's a known problem in these cars that the cables, both negative and positive are crap and also the alternator is way to small. A permanent fix for the dimming issue is add a few 4g grounds and also add a power line from battery to alternator

My GF has a 2015 Sonic with intermittent A/C failure and after repeated shop visits replacing all of the A/C hardware it still has a problem. Another shop has diagnosed a bad box. They are charging her $550 to replace it. Wish she had given me time to investigate. I look at this diagram and I wonder if those pins on the underside of the box are all actually long enough to make solid contact with the terminals in the hardess plug blocks. I can see any reason why any box should fail because they are literally just a wire holding and alignment assy.

Hello Emma, You could check your battery terminals if there any corrosion appears which create a disturbance in power supply to your car electricals or accessories. For your engine misfire, shaky rides while you press down the accelerator you could quickly check your spark plug coils if they are firing spark, for that you can refer some youtube videos typing "how to diagnose misfire". For lack power there are multiple reasons which cause car run poor. Have your fuel filter replaced and spark plugs replaced. It should be working out with your car. Hope this helpful. Have 2015 impala ltz. Front Parking lights do not illuminate when headlights are on. They work as turn signals. And illuminate while auto start is enabled but when you start car they go off. Help???

The problem is the grounding and power wires. Add new 4g wires on top of the old ones. The ground wires coming from the battery to the front grill and also from positive side of the battery to the alternator

I have a 2009 Chev cruze automatic and the shifter gets stuck in park, the key does not want to come out of the ignition and the brake lights are dead accept the middle one. I have gone through all of the fuses and all seems good. All of this happened at the same time.....So I am a bit frustrated at the moment. To top it all off the boot latch is not latching anymore and the boot stays open now. Please if there is anyone that can assist I will be greatfull.

Check under the fuse box cover. There should be a diagram that says it. Should be labelled something like "HDLP". If it's not there, it'll be in the fuse box inside the car, under the dash on the passenger side.
