How many times should you pump the brakes?

4 or 5 times. Do it until the break pedal gets firm.

Do you know what size rotor you had because I bought front rotors from Amazon that said would fit a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu limited but it was 12.5 inch and my rotors are 11.5

Unfortunately I don’t know. The car’s owner purchased the brake pads and rotors and I installed them. They were correct, so I didn’t measure them.
