Just a tip: Heat your rattle cans up when it's cold, it helps...either rotate the can in front of the heat gun/shake the can (and repeat) or boil some water, let the water sit for a minute or 2 to cool down a bit, then set the rattle can in the water for a few minutes. You will notice a HUGE difference. 🤘🤘

You are correct. But here is an additional tip for boiling hot water. Shake the can every few minutes and sit it back in the hot water. You will see right after shaking the can it will cool down. You want the whole can after shaking to be warm to slightly hot. Also you can get amazing paint jobs out of a rattle can, that lasts a very long time. It's all in the prep before paint, the prep before base coat, and after coat work. Setting up a mini paint booth and baking for the paint job goes a long way also.

If u would’ve used aluminum tape in the back of the housing instead of the black paint they would reflect the light much better and brighter

Is there a way to make the led strip blink in rhythm with the turn signal or is this the only way they can be wired up?
@BradzBuildz2 жыл бұрын
I think this is the only way to wire them up as far as I know.

I actually sold them and the truck but they worked great other than not keeping the chime behind the headlight builds. No reflection at night makes it hard to see
@RobVandal2 жыл бұрын
Great video, but I wish you would have shown the wiring process. I want to do something like this for my car but I don't know anything about wiring and that is the only thing that is giving me pause to starting this type of build.
@BradzBuildz2 жыл бұрын
Black wire is to the battery, Red wire is for the headlight or daytime running light and the yellow wire is for the turn signal.
@jordanthornberry99602 жыл бұрын
Ide like to see how you wired them in
@BradzBuildz2 жыл бұрын
Well, I no longer have the truck or the lights but if I remember correctly the yellow wire goes to the turn signal’s and the red wire goes to the daytime running lights.

Are the low beam still bright even tho your painted the chrome?
@BradzBuildz3 жыл бұрын
No, I would recommend taping off the chrome area around the bulbs. It was hard to see at night after painting the whole thing.

Pro tip: splurge on led light going inside the headlight as replacing one means opening the whole headlight again which isnt something that can be done on the side of the road so buy something that will actaully last the lifetime of the car not some pods that cost 15 bucks and fry themselves after 1k hours
@adrianio10002 жыл бұрын
Look cool, but now you have no low beams
