I’d question anyone that didn’t lol. 2 questions right off the bat…I’m interested in keeping the stock mufflers as well because I love the ability to close them off (I need this to be fun when I want it, but able to carry two little kids in the back too). Do you find the stock mufflers in touring mode still dampen the sound enough inside to make it bearable? Also, is the cam one of the “named” RCR cams off the shelf (I.e. boost master sportsman, drag, magnum, etc) or was it built custom for your application?

@@codyholder9520 The stock mufflers are the best sound from my research and endless sound clip searching but yes also because of the valve close capability. It is NIGHT and DAY with it being in tour (quiet) mode as opposed to sport of performance. Whenever I'm near a trooper or traffic cop, I switch it to tour mode and it makes huge difference. The bass is taken out of the sound. As far as the cam, it is a Rick Crawford Racing cam named "Boostmaster".

Ordered it from Commodore Specialties. Good luck finding it tho. They are ALWAYS out of stock. So much so that this was the spoiler I bought for my 15. When I sold it, I told him that he could keep it. I had so much trouble finding a new one that I swapped it back out instead.

What is the cost of the note and insurance? I'm focused on the SS and the G8 GXP.

Full coverage insurance for me with USAA is like $200 a month. The note is gonna be different for everyone. It'll depend on how much cash you put down, what your credit is like, and if your lender will let you do 72 months on this car since its pretty old, or will they cap you at 48 or 60 months.

What mufflers do you have .dam it sounds good

Headers are long tube 2x3 with no cats but the mufflers are stock mufflers lol. They sound the best.

Good question. I honestly don’t know. Rick Crawford put asterisks on certain numbers when I was ordering the cam. I guess to keep his secret sauce a secret ? Lol

Yes sir. My love for these cars came back when the Holden’s were rebadged as Pontiacs. I wanted a Pontiac GTO so bad! Lol
