Thanks for the good info. Some parts replacement kits come with some extra stuff you don't need like brass bushings and stuff like that. Came here to see that I didn't need those extra parts. Thanks again!

On the larger rubber boot, instead of sniping it to make it larger (and basically ruining the boot) I just coated my shifter with a small film of Vaseline petroleum jelly and it slides right off & on.

My 93 5spd tracker pops out of 5th gear while driving. I haven't found any videos, only old forums with half a dozen things it could be from Synchros to shift fork. Do you have any info on that repair?

Inner boot wears out and falls apart. Dirt gets in and wears out the shifting lever ball and stuff. I pulled mine out of there and there was no grease on the shifter ball and the inner rubber boot was ripped up. Will have a bit smoother shifting when replacing these components and greasing the ball.
