Good video. I have a TH350C with 5 check balls. Is there a different kit?
@CurmudgeonTransmission2 жыл бұрын
Yes. The lock up version is different. Use the link in the description to get you there and have a look around.

17:56 Why does the Transgo kit come with a different kickdown/detent spring clip?
@CurmudgeonTransmission2 жыл бұрын
Don't know why they felt the need for a new clip. Either will work just fine.

@@CurmudgeonTransmission Appreciate the reply. I'm swapping out a manual with the TH350 in my K10. It has the foot petal kick down. Are they interchangeable or do I have to use the transmission cable? Is it advisable to bypass the first stage of the valve?

There are 2 different cables. One hooked to the gas pedal, the other to the carb. The bracket bolted to the intake and had an extra connector on the carb for the cable. The one that goes to the pedal, the firewall acted as the bracket. There was a place in Oklahoma that sold old Chevy stuff. Don't remember the name, I want to say LMC, but may be wrong. Been so long and they may not be in business anymore. When I had my old Chevy, I bought a lot of stuff from them. They would probably have the floor mounted one. WIT and Transtar sell the other one. If you can hook it up I would do it.

@@CurmudgeonTransmission Sorry to drag it out, but mine goes from the pedal to the carb. It was a manual transmission. I'm swapping in the TH350. Is the pedal cable still necessary or do I have to use the transmission to carb cable? Or are you saying that I need both? Thanks.

Both. Depending on the year there were 2 different design cables. I would probably just connect it to the carb. If you have a Holley carb Sonnax sells a bracket AS6-01. Even if you do not have a Holley you can probably make it work. Yes I know it is for a 4L60 transmission but where the cable connects is the same size. They also the connector for the carb if it does not have it. Edelbrock AS5-05K, Holley AS4-04K.
