Chevy Torque tube bushing removal and oakie replacement

The tool didn't work for me, I destroyed the tool trying so I ended up drilling out the dowel pins on top of the torque tube and drifted the old bushing out bit by bit, it took forever to do, what a pain, the old bushing was stuck in there, had to pound the new one in with wood block, and it still leaks! Wish I would have never did that job, I check the differential lube level often, drain excess and top of tranny...nice idea on the tool you made, glad it worked well for you!

Where did you buy the new Okie Bushing? A guy on KZbin bought one from Chevsofthe40’s and it didn’t fit . Did yours fit without having to send it to a machine shop?

Chevs of the 40s. Its been a while, but I don't recall turning it down.
