Did you know at least the first gens are offically categorized as light trucks, and in Japan is called the Escudo, and in Canada some were sold under Pontiac as the Sunrunner. Great video.

They all need 3.1:1 tcase gears no matter what size tire lol. Awesome buggies but way under powered. Also in the front differential category you can use Jeep j10 Dana 44s and if you put f150 or CJ rotors on them your bolt pattern will match the back.

Are you positive on the autos having 4.60 gears? I have a 2 door manual and a 4 door auto and I can find online that it has both gear sets. So I’m not really sure what it has. I did the whole turn the drive shaft and tire and count thing and I got what looked like 2.5 rotations. But the difference between 2.3 and 2.5 rotations is kind of hard to tell when doing it quickly.

I would suggest 4.2 no matter what size tire.

I've got a buddy with small tires and the 4.24s are just too low...he only uses 3rd-5th...and can't use any wheel speed when needed

@@littlemancaveontheprairie4753 That means he needs to be in 4 high for that situation.
