I love the Vega body style and always wanted one tubbed out for drag racing. I raced a 68 Camaro for 42 years before I switched to a dragster. I did buy my wife a 1973 Vega GT, silver with black stripes, it was a beautiful little car.

I love Vega's. I have had 2 of them. Always had the hatchback. My sister had a hatchback and then she had a wagon with a 327 v-8.

Right about this time last year my wife was in the hospital for a condition that came on suddenly and unexpectedly, it was unsettling for both of us as we awaited answers to what was going on with my normally healthy wife. I remember that it was October 31 of last year, my wife was in the Royal Alexandra Hospital and I was visiting her that day. At one point she said she needed to sleep and I said I'd go out to stretch my legs and take a little drive. I meandered about for sometime, lost in my concern for the love of my life, when I suddenly glimpsed a truly beautiful sight...a vintage Chevy Vega with a gold accented paint job...surrounded by thousands of the swirling yellow leaves of fall. I parked my vehicle, (the grey Hyundai Santa FE SUV) and just looked at how amazing this combination of colors was. After a moment or two, I decided that I wanted to capture the scene so I'd never forget it. I got out of the car and took a quick walkaround with my phone in hand, and as I did so, the scene became prettier and prettier. It was a very nice moment that came right about the time that I really needed it. Weeks later, after the amazing care of the team at the Royal Alex, my wife left with a clean bill of health, and she's been doing well ever since. All this to say thank you Paul, you provided me with a wonderful moment, exactly at the right time!

The Chevrolet Vega is the miniature Camaro in my opinion 1970-77 while the Monza is the other miniature Camaro from 1975-80 as well
