Ahh it's just wild to me that your videos and posts aren't getting as many views but then again I've come across so many amazing channels recently with hardly any views (not to mention how Instagram is forcing people to make reels). I hope it helps to remind yourself that it just be like that sometimes. The algorithm gods are fickle things but they're not sentient beings and it doesn't mean you're not doing all the right things. I'm obsessed with your current style of videos, your art, and your storytelling. I like your old stuff, too, but it shows in your work just how much you've learned and grown over time and it's just such a beautiful thing to have the privilege of watching. I don't know you at all but I'm super proud of you and so glad to have found your channel. ❤You've inspired me to get back into my own art and I even joined a weekly art group, which was so scary but it's now the highlight of my week, so thank you! 🥰
@ohnoitstas84849 ай бұрын
I second this!! I feel like you’re finding your niche in your art and it is such an exciting thing to see you grow! I personally think even how you use more vibrant and playful colours in your newer work just goes to show how much more expressive you’ve become! I’m not sure if it’s reassuring to hear but I also love your longer form videos, but I would never stop watching if you started releasing shorter ones more often, especially if you find they are performing better! 😊 Thanks for the video Chey!

i know algorithms are weird, difficult things that are almost impossible to please consistently!! it's very annoying!!! >:0 thank you so much for these incredible kind messages ;u; snowflake, i'm SOOO happy that the weekly art group has become a source of joy for you~~ and thank you tas, i think i'm gonna let myself make shorter videos on occasion, they also take a little less time to edit heheh

I really admire how frank and open you've always been about your art journey, and mental development as an artist. It's very tough these days to not be comparing ourselves, either to other artists or like you say, our past selves, especially when they had something that we no longer feel we do (excitement, views, attention, vitality etc.). I'm also so happy to hear you say that you think you're cool, and that you are happy with yourself, because that plays such a huge part in self-expression and creating what we want, even if it's not always to our standards. But you're an amazing person, regardless of what you make. It's good that things change and we grow as people and artists; how boring would it be if it didn't? Which I realise is much easier said than done, especially when we get stuck in our own heads about our progression (or perceived lack of). I suppose it's something to take comfort in, the inevitable change that comes with us getting older and more refined in our skills. I don't really know where I'm going with all this, but basically, thank you for your video and for expressing your thoughts. c:

I have to pause this video at 10:12 AND RUN TO STOP YOU HERE! Your content was getting more reach, because social media was eassier to let you reach people than it is nowadays... (i hope i make my self clear... Im from Argentina with a very rusty spelling english) NOT BECAUSE everything your IMPOSTOR SD is THINKING... But I think it is nice that you went back to get inspiration from your early work. I discovered you a little while ago and I feel so identified with your vlogs. Love your work! KEEP GOING. KEEP IMPROVING. KEEP CREATING.

Along the way, we learn to understand that our art evolves, and we must love that process. It's impossible to remain static, especially as creative minds. Exploring new things is what leads us to growth, and inevitably, our art 'matures' with us. I am grateful that my path is uncertain and that I will always have the opportunity to experiment

I absolutely adore you, your furbabies and the work you do. You have consistently been my favourite artist for years now, at least since 2018-2019 when I first stumbled across your bullet journalling videos and I fell in love with your style, your aesthetic and how open you are about your journey. That's what caught my attention most, being able to relate to you and your struggles, your triumphs, your dreams and aspirations. You're such an inspiration to me. I completely feel the comparison with prior self but on the upside at least you're comparing yourself to yourself, and you're doing so well with your changes in mindset. I am so proud of how far you've come over the years. I remember times where you were so low, I just wanted to reach out and give you a giant hug and tell you everything is going to be alright. And now, you're so much more confident and happy, it infuses with your content. I am so happy that you've come as far as you have, and you have a wonderfully bright future ahead of you. Even if you don't get as many views and the algorithm messes you about, your people will find you. Your community is so kind and wonderful and wholesome, we will continue to support you throughout anything you decide to pursuit. I genuinely hope that Soph and Pepper both continue to have a healthy and long life yet, and that you and Ares also both have a wonderful, happy and content long life. You are so so so deserving of all the good that this world has to offer. You genuinely bring light to so many lives, through the kindness of your heart. Your art reflects changes in your life and is a visual diary of the ebbs and flows that you've experienced and have yet to experience. I hope that you have so many happy, loving and fun days ahead of you. I wish you only the truly best. ♥

A lovely vlog! The plant with the round leaves is called 'pancake plant' in Dutch, that always makes me laugh. And it's super easy to care for and to propagate! The spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum) (also galled 'grass lily' in Dutch) is also very easy to care fore and to propagate, you can see by the colour of their leaves if they're happy! Begonia Rex is also a very cool plant (many have pink and red leaves!) but they are poisonous to cats so depending on the snacking habits of your girls that might not be the best choice. Or you have to have a place where the cats can't reach (mine are in the bookcase, near the window but the cat can't get there).

Girl! You do you!! It's easy for people to judge us for evolving if they are stagnant. You need to progress and grow and change, etc. Besides, as we emote, that affects how our hearts engage with our brains as we doodle and sketch. Also...personally...I think everyone should stop telling themselves that they can say anything they like to anyone. Not everyone cares about your opinion. Anyway, you don't need to explain yourself to anyone but yourself in this life. Keep doin' Cheyenne because she's really damn good. :)

Hey Chey, Don't worry so much about your art. You can't draw cute stuff all the time forever, I mean you can if you want to, but why not let life influence your art instead of remaining in a glass reliquary of the same content? Creativity has seasons. If you are feeling fallow, it's normal. Just go with that and soon enough the springtime will sprout and the inspirations and ideas will come soon enough. You might also visit your fav museums and look at the work of other established artists, even from other cultures and historical periods within the canon of art history if only to take a broader view of what art is and your place in it. I find that to be a helpful way to orient when feeling lost. Not that you must mold yourself into that paradigm, but solely to compare and contrast so you can better attest: "I am HERE" --> X You are OK just the way you are! I always look forward to watching your vlogs. Hope Sophie is doing better! ❤ from Berkeley!
