I really try to get into King Inertia, but his timing just absolutely ruins it for me! I have no problem with people using metric modulation but this is just uncontrolled tempo from Inertia. Slowing down and speeding up constantly completely ruins the flow for me. His sounds and melodies are always great! Just sort out that rhythm! p.s I have been a drummer for over 15 years, so it may be why I am so sensitive to it.

I wish dlow would focus more on musicality and groove... we get it, hes the greatest when it comes to difficult technicalities, thats undeniable.. but its hard to vibe with any of this, its just flashy sounds that sound difficult. Its like someone shredding arpeggios on a guitar, but not being able to write a riff that gets people moving.

Of which you didn’t bother to answer and so I can only assume the answer is no and you are trying to deflect from that to justify your opinion still. Also, again, he just released a full album. Years of hard work. He has been a judge at so many competitions and competing actively himself for years. The dude has spent well over ten thousands hours cultivating a talent, he is allowed to have fun with it without being pooped on for doing so. 🤷🏼‍♂️ What we think of it doesn’t matter. He was having fun and experimenting. That was for his well earned enjoyment. Can you not tell by the look on his face that he really doesn’t care what anyone thought of what he was doing? 🤷🏼‍♂️ I find it strange when people can’t just vibe with someone who is vibing in their wheelhouse and having fun. It’s beautiful to witness a well honed craft. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Just my opinion.

@@GBNationalist Ymgwie Malmsteen is technically a much better guitarist than Toni Iommi... however Tony is far more well known and popular for his ability to write a memorable riff thay sticks in peoples heads. Mike Mangini technically is a much better Drummer than Mike Portnoy, but all that insane ability doesn't translate into being able to write beats with grooves that move like Portnoy Being technically proficient doesn't equate to being able to affect people. Dlow is phenomenal with what he can do, arguably the best and skill for skill is alone at the top of the mountain, but I cannot vibe with his stuff as well as I can say with a Codfish track which uses more basic techniques but utilises them better. Idk why you are getting all bent out of shape over a purely subjective opinion.
