About 30 years ago myself and a fellow backpacker took bicycles to the top of that mountain with a taxi. Spent the day travelling down to Chang Mai, stopping at temples watching wildlife, site seeing, etc. Still remember what what a fun enjoyable trip that was. Thank you for the positive reminders.

I almost threw up when I took the minibus but it was worth to have the view of mountain. It's so clear to see Chiang Mai airport and I felt peaceful to see the planes take off and land.
