"Just when I thought I was out, they pull (she pulls :)) me back in!" --- Micheal Corleone, Godfather III. The terms of elegant, classy and graceful came to mind when I saw you in black..., but have I used the word "stunning' before? Yes, of course I have... ! How did the little 250 did? I thought it would be a little tight on those mountain roads, since they usually do not have a lot of torque...but the mountains and views were out of this world! How were you treated over at that triangle area? I thought they had some kind of war going on in that area over there.... However, I have ridden a vintage single cylinder 2 valve 250 cc Jawa, which was a Czech military bike from the 40's to 50's I think.., the vibration of the thing was so bad (especially if we got the oil and gas mixture wrong) not only you wouldn't be able to see anything from the rear view mirrors because they shook like a malaria patient, but it also prevented you to open your mouth when the motor was on, because there's a real risk for you to lose a part of your tongue...and we had to make a rule of not allowing any of our buddies to ride if he had an upset stomach, because it would shake anything out of you in less than a minute! Hey, but chicks loved it, it was a chick magnet for sure, so we just took turns to give chicks rides. How come you didn't get onto one of those beautiful hot air balloons? It would be so much fun! But just be able to take pictures right underneath one of them was also fantastic! Flying ( to get a solo license) is one of the things I would like to get it done. But first is to learn how to play Polo, then Sailing and then Flying...(those are all big here in New England) in that order :), because I think have done pretty much everything else... Would love to take you to some black tie events and fun raisers to bleed some hearts, but I might have to tip the waiters more because they would have to mop up the pools of blood on the floor after the party..... . it will be totally fine with me. P.S. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Weddings in a balloon are a big attraction at the Chiang Rai balloon festival. This year we had 24 in just one day. I am an Aussie living in Chiang Rai and often go for a ride (only 90 mom's.) up to Phu Chi Fa and stay the night just to take in the stunning sunrise. Best in the cooler months....3-4 degrees C and clouds below you in the valleys.

Spectacular footages of your Chiangmai, Mae Hong Son & Chiangrai trips. It was so much fun watching you enjoying your rides & adventure. There are still plenty of places to explore in the 3 provinces that you had visited. I know you weren't able to visit many other places because of time constraint and of course the most sensible plan for a biker is to do the 1864 Corners / Chiangmai - MHS Loop. You missed out visiting Ban Rak Thai in Mae Hong Son Province. There are interesting districts in Chiangmai like Chiang Dao, Doi Saket, Hang Dong, just to name a few. In Chiangrai, places like Mae Kachan Hot Spring & Geyser, Doi Chaang (organic coffee plantations), Doi Mae Salong are places that might interest you and are nice to ride to. BTW, any places with the prefix "Doi" are fun to ride up to because it means hill or mountain. Sorry for being long winded. I have one more suggestion. You may want to consider riding on a bigger loop from Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima province (visit Khao Luk Chang Bat Cave, Prasat Hin Phanom Wan & Wat Ban Rai), on to Petchabun province(visit Wat Phra Thart Pha Son Keaw, Khao Kho National Park & Phu Tubberk [both Khao Kho & Phu Tubberk are mountains, have magnificent sun rise views at dawn, they call it Sea of Clouds]). Then carry on down south to Lopburi (Prang Sam Yod), to Ayutthaya. Ayutthaya was the capital of Kingdom of Siam for about 400 years before they were raided by the Burmese army in the 18th century. So there are plenty of historical ruins to visit in Ayutthaya Province, for example Wat Maha Tat, Wat Chai Watthanaram, Wat Ratchaburana, Wat Chai Mongkol and so on. All these ancient ruins are spread out about few kilometres apart from each other, If we put them all in one perspective, the place is just like the Cambodia's ancient ruins of Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom. Bangkok is only 80 kilometres south of Ayutthaya. There you have it. So, you should plan another longer riding trip to Thailand. Who knows, maybe we'll bump into each other while riding. LOL! Stay healthy & ride safe. Take care.

I usually pick up a big bike in Chiang Mai every year. I ride the Mai Hong Son loop and then head to Chiang Khong. A friend of mine and fellow biker has Siam Tara resort just south of the town and right on the river. From there I do day trips, and then head back to CM after one night in Phayao. Hwy's 1155,1093 and 1148 are must rides. Hwy 1148 is called the Hwy to Heaven. One mistake on it's twisties and if you've been good, that's where you are headed. No mistakes and it's a "heavenly" ride.

Very nice, I was riding the northern Thailand in late Feb, early March. I recognized several of the stops and roads in your video. We never experienced a true traffic jam, although once we had to sit tight at a lunch stop while a member of the Thai Royal family passed by. I rode a bunch of guys on Ducati’s, it was like a 10 day long track session, they flew, but they knew the roads. I’d go back in a minute.

Thx for the video. Is that a wraptie I keep seeing? Be safe and keep the shiny side up.

I'm not sure what a wraptie is, but I use RokStraps, maybe that's what you're seeing?

Ron, the focus is definitely an issue for me too! I’m still learning, that’s why some scenes are blurry! 😂

Hello from Singapore! I just came back on a long ride from Singapore to Koh Samui, Thailand. My next aim is to reach the Golden Triangle. How’s the road conditions like? I’m riding a Suzuki DRZ400SM so it’s more street oriented, am thinking if I should convert the bike to offroad setup for the Golden Triangle trip.
