CHIANG RAI to the GOLDEN TRIANGLE

Welcome to Episode 4 of my Northern Thailand Road Trip series .👋
Today is Christmas Day 2023 and I decided spontaneously, to travel from Chiang Rai to the Golden Triangle for lunch 😍
Its only an hour and 15 mins from Chiang Rai and actually is a very easy ride.
The Golden Triangle is vey unique, being that you can see Myanmar and Laos...all within a few hundred metres from Thailand !!
Highly recommended day trip from Chiang Rai

We were in Chiang Rai for Christmas we did not do much and actually went to dinner near Chiang Saen where were. Like everyone miss family and friends but not the BS regarding Christmas and the weather back home. That casino area is like an enclave of China in Laos a few stories on line regarding the place definitely not on my bucket list lol.

Yeah agreed - I actually heard after I was there that it’s a good chance to get robbed and potentially have your organs harvested at that casino (if you get in with the wrong crowd ) 😇😂
