A quick range session with my Chiappa Little Badger in .22 LR

I owned a two piece rolling block 22 in the early 50s. I would stick half down each pant leg and sneek around a thinly populated residential area until I spotted a gray. Then, I would assemble it and use a short to get my dinner!!

The flash suppressor is only for directing the flash out of the portion of the shooter night vision where the shooter sees the sights at night ! It does not hide the flash !

Bought one in 22 mag. Started out very fun and knocked down several hogs with ballistic tips. Not even 20 shots in and started misfiring. I didn’t really expect a whole lot anyway. Just letting potential buys know.

It's not totally you to blame my friend, I have one of those guns and they work really well with CCI Standard velocity (1070fps/40grain) but the Federal were not so accurate and neither were the CCI quiets, never tried shorts. I tried about a dozen different types of .22 amo with a scope and Bi-pod on it in order to eliminate as much human error as possible to sort that out, but I do like shooting it bare bones stock as you do. Great video.

The fact that you had problems with hitting the last propane tank may say about a problem with the heated barrel -- the plastic front sight may start shifting a little bit (a very common problem for the plastic-on-steel set), or the barrel just loses zero every time it gets overheated.

Heated Barrels losing zero is pretty common on older or, in this case, cheaper rifles. I have an SVT-40 where the zero shifts almost 4 inches at 50 yards when it gets hot, so I'd suspect that's the issue

That's the minimalist style I like in my guns. The wood furniture BS is nice, but metal doesn't crack, plastics, I heard is a problem in extreme cold weather. I wish they made a 12 gauge in this style.

I have the TDX model. Its worth the few extra bucks in my opinion. The tube can strap to the outside of my hiking bag and nobody is the wiser i have a hunting rifle on the trail.

Mark Kern AGREED. I still cannot understand the point of buying a single shot 22 rifle??? I wouldn’t waste my time and money, but would instead go get a Ruger 10/22, or a bolt action Marlin 25N. Otherwise, like he said, it is a novelty though.

@@lightdweller single shot rimfires are "fun guns" for the most part and almost everyone that owns a single shot also owns bolt or semi autos for more practical use. Guns like the Chiappa Lil Badger were designed for a very select market, that being backpackers, hikers, canoe trips and anyone travelling into remote areas for purposes other than hunting and find themselves in a situation requiring emergency food procurement. Compact, stowable, light weight are prime designs features so using a single shot receiver, wire stock is pretty much a no brainer.

Try using a spent CCI 22 mag case with the bottom cut/ground off as an adapter for 22 LR.

100 meters with open sights, 200 with an optic, if its not a surprise you should let your kid choose. My personal preference would be the Henry though.
