Yes, we liked Chiba :) Not sure if this is an option for you but having a car really freed up a lot of time for us and made it easier to get to some of the places in the video.

The railway system is very convenient in Japan, so you won't have any trouble catching a train from Tokyo to Chiba. Around Chiba though, especially some of the places we went to, public transport may be a little harder. We rented a car so had a lot more flexibility with time.
