I just rewatched the 1989 film a few days ago. Amazing how stylistic and otherworldly Gotham City is. Wish later films (including the Joker) put that much effort and creativity into world building.

Gotham City in Burton era had that awesome look that practically alone could tell a story. Unfortunately later attempts were either bland or just plain simple. One exception is inclusion of Narrows in Batman Begins, which was kinda interesting.

Damn!! Great fucking job!! I heard about replicas being made over the years but none of them ever allowed to have the jet engine or a prop/device that spits any sort of flame like the original at the back because law enforcement were quick to jump on them and shout it down their throats about how it wasnt legal for health and safety purposes. Some guy circumvented this by gluing together a load of small red and orange LEDs to resemble flames but nothing can get better than the real thing!
