Been watching how Ryan Poles operates for a couple of year now and think it is at least 50/50 if not even more likely that he trades down. Its like the idea is lava. Yes he is. Poles has already told everyone Fields is gone. You just haven't accepted it yet. Last year we traded the pick on Mar 10. It is now Mar 15th and we still have pick 1 without a whiff of a rumor of trading out -- we are using the pick. And since we just got Allen, that means we are not using it on MHJ -- so we are using it on a QB. That's QB1. We got Brett Rypien -- QB2. The raiders offered us a draft pick for Bagent -- we shut them down -- QB3. The Bears are not carrying 4 QBs -- that means Justin is the odd man out. Accept it.

It seems impossible to be as incompetent as they have been in the passing game over the last 60 years. I became a fan when Bob Avellini was leading the charge and they have gotten no better since then. Okay, maybe a few guys have been marginally better. And the wide receivers? They never had a chance. For all the talk of the Bears never having had a quarterback, we have never had sustained wide receiver play. Indeed, Mushin Muhammed, Brandon Marshal and other wideouts "went to Chicago to die." Still think they should draft WR at 9 or if they move up. Keenan only on a way year deal and if he’s good they’ll probably only extend him for another 2 years which puts him at 33. The new rookie WR will outlast his stay. Plus give them options without the pressure to do anything. I like nabers in a trade up. But to be honest it’s starting to look like the chargers may be going WR now. So Idk if they wanna trade down. Maybe still because they need more picks for cheap labor. Caleb, nabers, moore, Keenan, cole and Gerald plus swift is a nasty offense. And the line is already good enough. Plus they’ll have even more cap to add more pieces elsewhere

Justin Fields can not be in the locker room when Caleb (or Jayden or Drake) arrives at Halas Hall. Teams know this. Why give up draft capital for someone that is going to waived? Bears really screwed the pooch on this one by not getting a deal done earlier. Now they'll be holding onto him until the draft to improve leverage with potential trade partners, but that isn't exactly "doing right by Justin" as both the President and GM said they wanted to do.
