Bears better do everything they can to get Ben Johnson. I'm tired of mostly always getting Defensive minded coaches. They invested so much into offense roster talent with Hopefully an Oline addressed this off season that they need an offensive minded coach. As much as I and everyone else is drooling over Ben Johnson. I truly believe the Bears need a culture changer more for the long term. Vrabel, given his past, is the ideal culture shifter. And from what I’ve seen in interviews most Bears players want Vrabel.

Ben Johnson certainly has promise and real potential. Certainly, impressed with win over Vikings and Flores. But we been down this road before with "hot coordinators that want to be HC." I am leaning towards a proven HC with experience. Has a winning culture and who gives this team instant creditability. Enough with the unknown, the Bears are not the Lions talent wise. Carroll, McCarthy,Gruden, Vrabel, etc. Maybe Flores.

As a NFL Fan and growing up watching Chicago Bears Football because my dad is a huge fan, I think the Bears 🐻 should consider Doug Pederson as there Next Head Coach, Bring in Frank Reich as OC, and if the Browns allow it I think bringing in Jim Schwartz as the DC would be amazing. Caleb learning under two legends like Doug Pederson and Frank Reich is exactly what he needs to succeed 👏. As far as Jim Schwartz he has been successful as a DC this year and his last in Philly no, but longevity shows he has , what do all the Bears fans think?

FGB! I want to know more about how the play calling is split in Detroit before I know whether Johnson is the main guy or not. Detroit's offense is rocking ... but so is KCs and we saw how Nagy worked. I'm inclined to get a more proven head coach, but there aren't many HC options that also call offense, and having a consistent offensive scheme for Caleb is crucial. I don't think it's an easy decision.

Andy Reid had Nagy as an OC but then he took it away from Nagy during the playoffs because he couldn’t get the offense going. Andy Reid is the real OC in KC.

I understand the fascination with Ben Johnson. Detroit has one of the best offensive lines in the league. However, Joe Brady seems like a better fit for Caleb’s style, which is more similar to Josh Allen’s dynamic playmaking rather than the pocket passing and timing focused approach of someone like Jared Goff. The big worry for me about ben johnson is that like you said some guys are more coordinators than head coaches, which one is ben johnson? Is he actually as incredible as he seems or is he a product of dan campbell’s leadership? No doubt hes an incredible coordinator, but i think with our recent history of hiring the sexy coordinator (eberflus, nagy, etc) we need to ask questions before selling the farm to johnson. Id honestly prefer a guy like vrabel if he doesnt go to new england, pete carroll if he wants back into the league, kliff kingsbury, someone that has a history of being a head coach and can develop a qb. Caleb deserves the support since the bears view him as our franchise qb

No one said that Eberflus and Nagy were sexy coordinators lol. Those hires were outside the box. The bears never hired the “sexy” coordinator. But I will say that I’d prefer finding out about your question in mind with the bears than finding out with another team.

@ i meant they were the big hire at their times, eberflus was coaching the defense well in indy and when we hired nagy he was the guy that turned mahomes into what he is today, history is definitely not on our side when it comes to these types of hires and with dan campbell being so much of the culture in detroit i think we need to do our homework and see if ben johnson can deliver that kind of energy and shoulder the kind of burden that redefining a culture takes vs just being the great playcaller. It takes so much more than being a good coordinator to become a good head coach and i think the last few coaches we have had show that. Thats why i think someone like vrabel gruden or carroll would be better since all 3 have proven success in the nfl vs a first time NFL HC that has a lot of risk. If we blow this hire we blow caleb williams’ career in chicago and i think the risk is too high to roll dice on an unproven guy.

Nagy had that one year with Mahomes. Johnson has been doing for 3 years. And that offense hasn’t missed a beat. I’d rather go with the 3 yrs of great offense production. If the bears stay true to what they say and want Caleb to develop into a great QB, then they should pair him up with an offensive minded coach. And I believe that is Ben Johnson

My expectations for the bears this season were the highest I could remember in 40 years. I was telling friends and coworkers the only way this team fails this season will be due to poor coaching. Lesson learned… my expectations for this team will be as they were previous years hoping they just don’t suck. We had better rebuild our offensive line because it's horrible. And our defense could use some help as well. Sweat and Dexter can't do it all Dexter is not fast enough. He's good but we need some help on our defense. And for the love of God higher Ben Johnson as our HC
