The lighting seems a little dim for a Stadium game. Definitely some longer shadows than normal. Caught an original 6 match up at the Stadium in 1990. Bruins /Black Hawks. That place was LOUD!!!!

And how many future head coaches here? Tippet, Quenville, Evason, Bruce Cassidy, Yawney, Kevin Dineen?? Dirk Graham , Savard,

Yeah, Hartfords' Quenneville coaching Chicago to 3 cups, over 2 decades later.

Only remember hearing these on WBBM as a kid. Trying to envision the game as I listened in my room. I’d record them all. I knew every home game night and that was my plan. I would listen to the whole game and be jealous of those that got to go to the game. My favorite place of all time was Chicago Stadium. The UC is no comparison. Not even close. I loved that place. I actually got emotional when they tore it down. I mean there had to be some way these fuckers could make money off it. Use your heads Wirtz family.🤓

Hawks games used to be on WMAQ with Lloyd Pettit. (sp) I'd listen to the games up here in Saskatchewan. Luckily I got to see a game at the old stadium. What an experience.

How was a home game on TV back in the day?!
@skifusya281410 ай бұрын
This was a put-together (not by me) production of Hartford TV picture with Chicago radio audio.

Back then you needed a satellite feed and pick up the road teams feed to watch a game at Chicago Stadium. Back then most small bars always had the feed. I used to know because I used to go watch them quite a bit

My dad has always said that this was because the Wirtz family owned an alcohol distribution company (now known as breakthru beverage).

@@mattswaggy7804 He is correct however that had nothing to do with broadcasting Blackhawk home games. It’s a long story lol believe me I lived it
