Best bank shooter I've ever seen and I've been playing this game for over 40 years. Thank you so much for uploading these videos and passing this man's knowledge of this wonderful and challenging game onto others so we may pass it along to someone else. I certainly Wish I would have gotten the chance to not only meet this amazing man but maybe to have played a game or two. R.I.P. Bugs, I know with 100% certainty that you are still beating them all up in heaven where the cue ball is made of gold. God Bless you sir, and to all of you who have learned from this man, pass it along in his name. Now rack em up!

Because Bugs was the best banker. There's a ton of greatest bankers in Chicago... Find any black pool hall there and see for yourself. As he says, these are just intermediate bank shots. Didn't get into 2 or 3 rail, kick banks, don't think any cross banks either.

Looks like Bugs is using a Schon cue here. Some may not be aware, but Bugs never actually owned his own pool cue. (At least, he never bought one for himself) Most often, he played with whatever his stakehorses provided and sometimes he'd borrow one from a cue maker or dealer. He was given many throughout the years but never held onto them for any significant length of time.
@5153flash4 жыл бұрын
I use the diamonds to line up banks, and it works great. Some banks are the feel and cue control and are difficult to explain in any manner.
@jaddison30273 жыл бұрын
Using diamonds is great but like you said many bank shots you cant explain just have to practice the shot until you get the feel of the speed and english you need to use

Pls. Kindly tell me how you measure one tip left or two tips right , etc., how you figure out this aiming.
@jonathansmith-bey63807 жыл бұрын
lily feng take a solid ball, put it on the spot with the number facing you. Place your tip on the number. Now you can figure the rest. ↕️↔️🎱
@vernrogers20414 жыл бұрын
If you aim tip at cue ball....look at side of tip....when you move the tip until the side of the tip in the "new position" is in line with the side of the "original position"...that's one full tip...center to edge would be a half tip...Imagine 3 circles....middle one is your tip...the other two would be 1 tip right and 1 tip left....hope this Canadian was able to help!

could someone explain the full face, 1/3 ball, etc. Please!!
@bob7333336 жыл бұрын
Oscar Williams Divide the object ball into 3 (or 8) sections. 1 third hit is hitting 1 third of the side of the object ball with the whole cue ball. 1 8th is a thin cut.
@vernrogers20414 жыл бұрын
Full face is a stop shot....total eclipse....1/3 ball is edge of cueball lined up with 1/3 of the object ball {slight cut)....Hope this helps

It needs a little English.. 2 tips from center 1 tip below center...... I m laughing....for players unlike myself who shot the cue ball with maximum side spin because I didn't know how to aim properly due to hitch in my stroke from having no fundementles... It you can't stroke straight then even if you knew greastest aiming system ever.. It won't work because you can't stroke straight.. ... I didn't know any of that as a beginner... but saw a player use a throw shot on me and got it in my head that was how you play..so I shot every thing with max spin... Until someone instructed me that the rest of world stayed center....he was right... Once began learning advanced techniques of shit making... I had ZERO FEAR of the "danger" zone of the outer edge...... Most players can't shoot English more then 1tip from center.. and to be honest. They don't have to... Except when throw shots or banking and kicking.... So if I were you... Spend a couple days hitting cue ball near edge with cue tip so u get comfortable that miscues will be on infrequent. Also this is important and goes against basic fundamentals.... You need to elevate the butt of your cue stick instead of always trying to be level at all times.... Look at him and you confirm that...
@robkitchen53446 жыл бұрын
52:00 2rails in the side..using full face hit. Object ball... The ratio is 1:2..using the corner pocket as the bottom of your triangle... whatever distance from top left corner pocket... Find a line thur that equals a DISTANCEFOR EXAMPLE IF OBJECT BALL FROZEN TO CENTER OR #2 DIAMOND ON END RAIL.. A LINE STRUAGHT TO THE 1ST DIAMOND FROM THAT CORNER GIVES YOU THE 1 TO 2 RATIO TO BANK 2 RAILS IN THE SIDE POCKET.. USE A 1 ON CLOCK FACE
@robkitchen53446 жыл бұрын
1:17:004 rails in corner.. End rail long rail end rail long rail... My favorite.. I myself use the 85 system to make this anywhere within the 3 diamond s on 1st end rail.... I can kick it on most of the rail though

with all those stroke problems you have, you are on the wrong video. Banks are advanced , and you need to go back to level 1 stroke and mechanics.
