The desire of both teams was incredible. The Bulls were just better enough. Both teams were well coached, played good fundamentals. While Scottie Pippen was an All Star level player at this time, he wasn't fully blossomed, in my opinion, until the following year when Jordan was retired.

Thought knicks should’ve had them this year, last minute of game 5 was the decided of the series. I don’t think Jordan would’ve won a game 7 at MSG. This was the one year Jordan shouldn’t have won the title the weakest Bulls team of the 90s to the win the title. It would have been a great finals also between the Knicks and Barkley’s suns.

​@@vijaydanushkodi4980 The 93 team was one of the stronger Bulls' teams. Their playoff run was probably the third best after 91 and 96, especially on the road as they went 7-2. The only thing made them weaker was the fact they were the only championship team that didn't win 60 games, and that was mainly due to the Bulls' being bored with the regular season and wanting the playoffs to start. But outside of that, they were supremely talented and everyone was in their prime.

Thanks so much for uploading this series Korone. Losing the 1st 2 games had the Bulls entering unknown territory, game 3 Michael struggles but so did the Knicks as a whole. The Bulls got their first win and they never looked back. By the way at 1:02 clean block by Ewing, not goaltending by any stretch of the imagination.

Bill Oaks really messed up on this call on Pippen by calling a double dribble but then he compounds his error by ejecting Scottie. (6:46) Just watch Scottie as he's bring the ball up and notice that he didn't pick up his dribble.

Amen brothers. I've watched maybe 2-3 NBA games the last few seasons, but I don't feel I'm missing anything. Now I view the league as having a lot of kids in it, they don't seem like grown-ass men like the ones here. I'm tired of the posturing and jumping around and trying to impress your homies instead of being hard nosed and proffessional. This is REAL basketball. Listen to the crowd, the intensity; its like a tsunami of noise and passion. Even the console games now aren't as fun.

The league once upon a time would let the players play tough physical style basketball. And the players back then understood their responsibility of keeping tempers under control. Then the Detroit bad boys screwed it up for everyone by starting insane boxing 🥊 ring fights. That forced the NBA to crack down to such a severe degree that now you can't touch anyone without getting called for a foul. Sad but true

I became a Knicks fan in 92 when they played the Bulls. The way they knocked the shit out of Pippen and Jordan was awesome. I don't think the Knicks get the appreciation for having the top 3 rivalries in the 90's.. Chicago, Indiana & Miami. Nothing nowadays comes close.

This is the one game from this series that I don't have. Thanks for uploading. Never seen that foul by Anthony on Jordan in the flashback from the normal game angle (I had only seen it on the "Airtime" video) along with the ensuing moments. Awesome. It's so funny to hear John Andreis say that Ewing has a lot more help than Jordan does, because that's exactly the opposite of what you'd hear from Kobe kiddies today lol.

He did! From a casual fan/ retrospective standpoint it's hard to see. But Ewing was just a center, centers need more help than guards. Specifically, the best guard ever. These Bulls drafted people who were not "valuable" at the time. At least not chased hard by other teams. But they knew their roles. It only proves just how much Jordan raised the level of his teammates. The Knicks biggest problem was their emotional dysfunction under pressure. You can see it in Greg Anthony, Starks, Smith, etc. This is why they kept missing a majority of free throws. But who do the Bulls have to stop you up the middle? Will Perdue? Old Bill Cartwright? They later beat the Bulls without Jordan...which proves the commentators point. Which means they were the better TEAM. But Jordan is ALWAYS the x-factor .

I even feel like in 1998 you couldve traded Pippen for Grant Hill and all you lose is the 3point shot. And the Pistons likely would not have given up Grant Hill at the time for Pippen.

This is the knicks broadcast team and acknowledges Ewing in 93 had more help than Jordan. The bulls 93 team was the weakest of the 6 chip teams. Bench role players that were important to the first 2 chips were let go and the guys they brought in like Trent Tucker and Rodney McCray were at the ends of their careers and just didn’t produce the way the bulls needed

They made the defensive rules to help newer perimeter players achieve the same things MJ did by giving them much easier conditions. If he played now, it would be insane. I think Anthony Mason here would give LBJ a hard time defensively and he would score so easily on today's midgets.

Jordan's strength came from his great core power. That's why he was so explosive, in addition to a high degree of fast twitch muscle. Notice, no one has ever attempted to do Jordan's "rock the cradle" dunk in a game because you need 1)large hands 2)great leaping ability 3)an extremely powerful core because it's basically a wind up and explosion. Lebron and Kobe have never attempted it because they know they will make fools of themselves. Vince Carter even admitted he tried it & couldn't do it.

There's a reason they don't set picks on him. If he takes his man one-on-one he will force double and triple teams, which leaves his teammates open on the perimeter and the baseline. If they'd set picks, it becomes easier for the defense to rotate and recover, because there's no isolation on the play. But yeah, setting picks on the greatest one-on-one player of all time seems a bit unnecessary anyway :P
