The intensity , the dislike for the other playesr & teams is what truly made these teams great. The 93 & 96 Bulls would've beat ANY LBJ championship team or Curry championship team with ease. Those teams couldn't handle the physicality nor the mental toughness of a 90's NBA championship team.

Bird literally shot 35% in the ECF against the Pistons in 1988, a series they lost even though the Celtics had homecourt advantage. One of Jordan's worst shooting games of his career, 3 of 18 but he still had 11 assists and 8 rebounds. Also hit 16 of 17 from the foul line, as the Knicks were hacking him and finished with 22 points. Jordan was battling a nagging wrist injury and had played through a sprained ankle in the Cleveland series. That combined with facing the Knicks No.1 defense contributed to that shooting night. Of course Jordan would bounce back with 54 points in the next game.

I think it was obvious the refs were trying to help the bulls back in the series. Starks gets elbowed in the face but gets thrown out in the same sequence. Michael couldnt hit the ocean, but had 17 free throws ?? Pippen pretty much saved the series in game 3 and 6
@scottb30343 ай бұрын
@@heasven1 pat riley gave jordan 17 free throws. the options were allow him to make dunks and layups or deny them and send him to the line. the knicks didn't allow anyone dunks and layups therefore they gave up plenty of free throws. it is pretty obvious that riley's philosophy took as much as it gave. the refs didn't do anything that the knicks didn't provide. the knicks allowed the bulls back in due to their defense (and the knicks being completely dumb when it came to taking care of the ball).
