It's 2024 and I still watch these videos. That was such an unbelievable year. My grandpa passed away before this but I know he would have been overjoyed to see them finally win it all.

@peterpanek2926 I suppose, but overall, he was terrible. Never been a Heyward fan. Terribly overrated. His best season was his rookie season with Atlanta.

@@peterpanek2926 Sure, but a below average hitter for his career. His defense is what kept him employed. A guy his size should be hitting 30 or more hrs a season. He hit 27 one year. He's a career 250 hitter.

I'm not going to knock anyone on a championship team.....the Cubs at this poiny are about 15 years away from even getting close to Championship quality.

Despite all his off-the-field problems, Russell was a stud during this series.

5:32 = Crucial, critical moment in this series; that throw by Toles could not have been much worse; a Good throw would have Easily nailed Zo .... horrible decision, by GJ, to send him, but .... thanks to Toles, it gave the Cubs the kick they needed. .... lol and In game 6, Toles gave the Cubs another gift, .... ;-)

True, but that Game 7 speech is stuff of legends. I was disappointed in his plate output, but his intangibles were what finally put the Cubs over the hump.

@LakeFX The Cubs didn't need that speech to win. They would have won game 7 regardless. That speech is totally overblown & overrated.

Rizzo hit .360 in the 2016 World Series. He hit a HR in game 6 off Kershaw in the NLCS. Go laugh at that!
