I've been talking about that dream scenario for months now...those 2 guys were my dream targets and so far we have one...the Cubs could easily afford them both and stay under the luxury tax...maybe not as easy next year butafter 2026...soooo much money comes off the books...Vlad isn't being traded yet though so we will need to remain patient.

Cubs blew their chances w/this idea when they traded Bellinger for pennies on the dollar. Straight up sucker move. I called for this in early November: Bellinger + Busch would have been an ideal package to build around.

As much as I would love this, I don't think we should take on another 1 year rental.... If he will sign an extension with the Our cubs as part of the trade I'll take him, and I'll send Nico the other way with any 2 players from the AA

No way, unless Cubs can trade Suzuki and put him in DH most of time. Then you don’t want to pay too much for a year cause you think Cubs can out bid teams next year for both Tucker and him????
