Free agents are not coming to Canada when they can go to a Zero tax state. Atkins will never sign Vladdy he has to be traded. Why do you make up $$$ numbers for bluejays players every time but for other fans teams he uses baseballtradevalues number religiously. With pitching prices right now, if Vladdy is 2x~ his value on that site then Cease is 3x~ 80m+. Kyle Tucker isn't a 1B/DH so equating his value like you did also doesn't make any sense (that site takes into account WAR/$ - Salaries which you are completely ignoring here by making up numbers for one of the sides of the trade) . Kyle Tucker is a good defensive outfielder and also a more consistent bat than Vladdy. Bluejays are literally never getting Cease, especially for only Vladdy. If the padres trade Cease they are probably getting multiple players to round out the team like they did with Soto. If the Bluejays trade Vladdy they are doing the same because they are going to sell not compete with a 1 year contract of Cease (who is a Boris client who will never extend with you). Bluejays are selling the entire team by the summer trade deadline...
