It’s getting kinda hard not to feel jaded when we all know that we have Dodger’s money, and the owners are aware that we know we have Dodgers money, but yet we’ve been feeling very Pittsburgh Pirates like vibes for years now outside of 1 year of Tucker. It’s sad when you have no faith in your front office and you have to put your faith towards somewhere else “dear little adorable baby Jesus in the cutest little Mark Grace jersey, can you plz lawd plz pretty pretty plz lawd plz let us plzzzz let us sign Roki!!” We all know that by him only costing a minor league contract, that’s the absolute only way that we would be able to sign a high quality F/A this off season 🙏🏽🧘🏼♂️🇯🇵🎎🐲

I'm not a Flaherty fan. I just don't trust him or his health. I would prefer one year of Verlander and use a 6-man rotation.

Sam, great comments on Bartman. I think one of the most honorable things about him is he has never cashed in on his situation, other than accepting the ring. He could’ve written a book, could have gotten paid to do interviews. But he never has. He should be given a lifetime pass to Wrigley. Like you said, he did what any of us would have done, as 1 of 10 pair of hands reaching for a foul ball. Thanks.
@joshuasteward60976 күн бұрын
I thought the umps should have called that fan interference. Yes, it went in the stands, but Alou had a shot. I don't blame Bartman because so many things went wrong. If I had to blame one person, it would be Baker for not calming the team down or going to the bullpen earlier. Still, Bartman and the other fans should have been watching the field and not interfered.

Babe Ruth’s called shot at Wrigley is maybe one of the most historic moments in baseball, and the hockey broadcast pulls out Bartman?

Well said, Sam, they just need to shut up about Bartman. It was the CUBS that lost that game, and the one following, not Bartman.

I wouldn't hate signing Flaherty, but I would love for us to sign either Scherzer or Verlander for a 1 year deal. We have plenty of budget room this season to swing for upside and we have depth if they don't work out. Plus just having a veteran presence from a future HOF pitcher.

How can they make a move (at this point) until they know the Sasaki decision. That may happen during the convention! I think the most cash cow teams are all in the running for Sasaki and why would any of them invest in the SP market until that passes? I would absolutely LOVE to see Moncada in blue pin stripes. He already lives in Chicago. He was considered a transformational international signing (given, this was after the whole Cuban sensationalized period of mlb)

Steve Bartman did NOT cost the Cubs a WS appearance! They were five outs away from going to the WS when it happened and they were STILL five outs away after it happened. Sanchez takes one off the glove on the next batter and Dusty Baker does nothing - NOTHING - to calm them down. They cost themselves a WS appearance and Dusty let it happen.

Total agreement regarding Bartman. He deserved 2 lifetime season tickets for the abuse he got. Any Cub fan (any MLB fan) would and has done the same thing. Alou overreacted which unfortunately stirred up the fans. Blame Gonzales for the subsequent error and Baker for mismanagement.

What a crap ludicrous sideline piece on Bartman, for chrissake. Very gratuitous and dumb, and irresponsible. Good for you, Sam, for calling out that lazy ass NHL production team. Hope we do SOMETHING additional to improve this team soon.

Batman didn't lose the game. Our gold glove shortstop botched a double play ball that would have got us out of the inning. The marlin batters wore are starters out by working the counts relentlessly thru out the series.
