Chicago drafts Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze & Denver drafts Bo Nix | Joel Klatt Show

Joel Klatt discussed the Chicago Bears taking former USC Trojans QB Caleb Williams with the first overall pick and former Washington Huskies WR Rome Odunze. He explained how these two players can impact the Bears in a positive way. Joel also talked about how the Denver Broncos drafted Bo Nix with the 12th pick. Bo was the #12 valued pick for the Broncos. Bo may have been the #13 valued pick by the Raiders and the #19 valued pick by the Chargers. Who cares? He obviously has more value to teams need a WB than those not needing one.

A career starter, high end, not even necessarily a “franchise qb” is worth 1st round pick, no matter the pick number. 12 or mid 20s if he’s a 9-10 year top 12-14 QB for the broncos they won’t care.

I don’t care if the Bears make the playoffs. Sure it would be nice but I’d rather just have a good O Line performance and Caleb looking very good by week 6 or 7. That’s it. Need to continue improving that O line to top top 10 within two years. QB protection is the No 1 priority. Everything else offense wise will follow.

it depends JJ > Keenan Moore > Addison Rome Odunze might even be bette; he had a better junior year compared to Addison’s junior year. Addison didn’t have a senior year but Odunzes senior year compared to Addison is miles ahead Hock > Kmet Jones is probably better than Swift but he’s older Bears have a better defense I agree but it’s kind of hard when Justin Jefferson is so good
