CHICAGO MARATHON!!! | Race Weekend | YIKES

Chicago Marathon is checked off the list! Went into this training cycle immediately after Eugene Marathon.. had to push from 20 weeks to 16 due to an ITB injury that took awhile to manage before I could pick up mileage. Still felt my fitness was there to aim for 3:20:00 but just mentally couldn't get there this time around 🤠. Still so incredibly happy with the outcome and SO GRATEFUL I was able to complete this marathon without an injury flare up!
ASK ME ANYTHING about the marathon in the comments so I can do a more informative follow up video on the marathon itself!!!! Next up.. NYC!!! Which I promise I'm running just for fun 😆 This bod needs a rest!

Great job! How many speed workouts did you run per week for this training block?

I always had at least one speed day per week, every 3 weeks I would have another speed session but into my long run to practice race pace!
