The First Amendment states "Congress shall make no law respecting... or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press..." 2) Under what law does the police officer have to stop him from filming? If I were the reporter, I would have continued to film, politely tell the officer the only way he was going to stop me from filming was to arrest me, ask him to push it up the chain of command, because the lawsuit would subsequently be filed against him personally.
