I’m all for standing up for yourself… But Will does respect her as a doctor, and most the time he agrees with her… But on the few times he disagrees with her, then she tries play the sexiest card! He’s allowed to disagree with her and still respect her as a doctor! And then she calls it quits so easily just because they’re having a fight?! She’s being ridiculous at this moment, and he deserves better

Nah, she's not pissed about the disagreement, she's pissed about the fact that he took the blame for her, and she sees it as the man protecting the woman. Jeff in season 2 also did the same thing and she blew up at him as well.

Honestly people need to stop confusing protective instinct for patronization. Will was just trying to help Natalie and take the hit. He even wanted to give her the credit afterwards. Every time I see a show where a man protects a woman and they’re like “I don’t need your help, I can handle myself,” it really annoys me because it causes no harm to the woman and is a selfless act in 90% of these cases. These men we’re talking about aren’t uncles who expect something back. They want to protect who they care about, which is only natural

People also need to stop confusing savior complexes for protectiveness. It's one thing to have your woman's back, but it's another to continuously put yourself between her and the consequences of her actions when it's not warranted. The sheer amount of times Will did this to not only Natalie, but his other co-workers as well, I'd guess he has a pathological need to always feel like the hero.

I don't know, man. So many times they've fought already. I think he loves her but she is the one who "limits" him because she is so demanding. She thinks that everything revolves around her and several times made a medical decision Will went against and he ended up right as she was too brash. Maybe the break is right, maybe they shouldn't be together. Natalie is great and I love her but Will deserves better than her. Because he loves her and wants to help her and she's hurting him in ways she can't even see.

They’re both constantly hurting each other. It’s one of those things where their personalities clash a tad too much. They’ve got chemistry, but ultimately, who they are as people just don’t click. I just realized how emotional these women in this show are but Dr Sarah Reese is still my fave. I just started bingeing Chicago Med recently, and this moment stuck with me. I don’t hate Natalie in this moment. Saying that because Will respects women, he can’t possibly have any underlying sexist biases is like saying white people who acknowledge their privilege never do anything racist. Will was born with a Y chromosome, so he will never know what it feels like for someone to be the “protector.” Whether that’s what he was consciously doing or not, he has to acknowledge that her feelings are valid. People historically don’t like women with high levels of education in male dominated fields. That’s getting better, but to put it frankly, no one has ever told him to stop pmsing.

I am not a real big fan of Natalie but I love her in this scene. She was sooooo right about Will not seeing her as equal, just consider if there was a man in Natalie's place, one he really cares about suppose it was his brother he would have never ever done the same thing. I am not a feminist either but now I feel like this is the stuff we really need to speak about, why is it that everybody including women think that women are just not good enough in anything they do, why does everybody think that they need protection, support.
