ABOUT CHICAGO PD
From Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf comes "Chicago PD," a riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department's elite Intelligence Unit, combatting the city's most heinous offenses - organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders and beyond. Detective Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and his intelligence team have always considered rules to be guidelines more than actual laws. Their goal has always been to protect their great city and they have used unique ways to help bring criminals to justice. Now it's a new day and age in Chicago. Police are under siege and under a microscope - everyone from the federal government to politicians and citizens in their own city are watching. The intelligence team will feel the pressure, and their form of justice will be questioned and challenged.

I think Voight saying “Maybe you don’t call the shots” was Voight’s say of signaling to Halstead to take the shot.

Yet NCIS is still going without Mark Harmon but Chicago PD won’t be the same with out Jason Beghe ( Hank Voight) even though Ruzek would probably take over Intelligence since Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) recently left and Antonio Dawson (John Seda) isn’t on the show.

@Ben Cloud honestly. the latter half of season 5 and almost all of season 6 are my favorites of the entire series. a lot of strong writing and interesting character development happened there. so far im very meh about season 7 but im hoping it gets better when it starts back up again in january.

This Givens Wanda You must not have been following the show or the actors. Antonio Dawson went into treatment for drug addiction as was addicted to pain killers for his shoulder injury in season 6. He pushed his daughters kidnapper to his death and Antonio is investigated. Voight put Antonio off the books into rehab and Antonio off camera resigned from Intelligence moving to Puerto Rico to be with his family. Alvin Olinsky was standing trial for murder when he was stabbed in prison and died in season finale of Season 5. Writers took off Olinsky from show to end the story online between Corrupt officer Denny Woods and Voight by having someone close to Voight killed. Sophia Bush left the show on her own as was burned out on the show and cited that was sick of the verbal abuse from actor Jason Beghe on set and the emotional and physical stress of the show was taking on her including cold weather and stunts on the show. She left at end of season 4 and won’t be back.

Chicago PD is a real good show you would have to start from the beginning though but has memorable characters such as Hank Voight played by Jason Beghe and Alvin Olinsky played by Elias Koteas. The show to has seen its share of cast changes to as any long running show has. Chicago PD is now in 10th season. I am a fan of it and have since beginning and same with Chicago Med and Fire although I am more into PD.

Bad directing. Too many beats between the head shot and Voight attacking. That dude would have shot him in that amount of time or dodged to avoid being shot himself. As soon as the shot was fired they should have had Voight lunge at the other guy taking advantage of the shock.
