Lord I hope not! The Safe-T Act is a ridiculous piece of legislation. How in the world did that come to be?? Every criminal I have known has simply paid the bond or fought the case from behind bars. Most crimes,of my group of friends and me when I was in my 30s were nonviolent felonies. The bonds were $500 and less to walk. We always met bail within less than a month, usually within a week or two but no more. My point is if we (not just my friends), had make bail we did. Dance to music then you have to pay to the piper! Why the hell are laws making it easy to commit crimes with no consequences. Don’t even ask if they’re being jailed for the crime that didn’t have to bond out of jail for. Probably not….it’s crazy when former offenders tell you this No consequence crap is Wrong!
