Sorry, no. It should be un-American to by ideology toxic views promoted by one side especially to hate our cities. We put them thru a lot for sure lost industry, suburbanization taking much, sending much to Asia and now once less desired once too hot of states that remained cheaper while the northern and Legacy cities boomed. Now they have plenty of issues in crime and debt. Chicago is one of the cleanest Big cities and green and the use of flowers is stunning thru the core and its parks. The street-grid was not corrupted by housing to the curb/sidewalk and it kept fully utilitarian alleys thru 90% of the city the got lined with garages and still small backyards. A bonus was the city found it ideal to run its power-grid line ugly poles thru the alleys making fronts free for soaring trees. Its zoning since the 1920s created its bungalow belt of single homes and 2-3 flat ones. Vast majority stand proud today along with its post WW2 versions thru early 60s mid-century of solid well-built homes with full basements that most got finished for bars and entertaining to many another floor of living also. Its sidewalks are superior to other cities in many got city maintained and replaced over the decades including running new gas lines etc. Still ITS DOWNTOWN IS TOPS in the Nation today in all it did to take it from past declines but great architecture and bones and build tourist attractions and for locals alike. This all is why it surpasses expectations for visitors and tourism now back gets proved with videos of how it actually looks vs some new channels demonizing all of it.

@@davidw7 I used to live there 20 years ago. Cleanest cities? I don't think so. It's a cesspool and I am never going back.
