Her new dojo will be opening up at 1835 Dixie Highway Flossmoor Illinois. The dojo's name is Chicago Minami dojo. Minami is a Japanese word for the southside.

She is ranked 8th Dan in Miyama Ryu juJutsu, 3rd Dan in Traditional Korean Hapkido and 2nd Dan in WTF TaeKwonDo; she also holds masters and doctoral degrees in Biological Anthropology from Northwestern University. Her extensive background and expertise in the study of animal behavior has led her to a deep understanding of the patterns of aggressive behaviors in humans, which is integrated into her teaching of self-defense.
