The same train I saw in Dolton six hours ago found it's way to the BRC. It takes me half an hour to get from there to here. Goes to show how congested the Chicago terminal actually is.

Through the brush, we spotted a BNSF police truck sitting along the Transon main. He didn't see us because we were trespassing and would have probably approached us if he knew we were there. He drove the other way shortly after I shot this.

Metra Heritage Corridor Train 917 pounds the Belt where the 303 job and a CP transfer wait to cross. F40PH-2 #121 is in charge of taking this train to Joliet.

One of the best railroading events of the summer happened now, when two Northbounds, both with EMD power both got the light at the same time running alongside each other with their throttles maxed out. BRC MP15DC #534 (OLS unit) was leading the 303 job. CP SD40-2s #5872 and #6080 led the Clearing-Bensenville transfer. There was good lighting on top of that!

A stack train that came off the NS at Ash Street negotiates one of Chicago's tightest connectors. This is the connector between the BNSF transcon and the BRC. I still don't see how these cars don't derail on the tight curve.

BRC #534 heads back South to the crossovers so it can run around it's train which is dropped off North of here. It then heads North after switching to the opposite main.

An unusual CN job out of Glen Yard passes by at Lemoyne awaiting to take the connector to the BRC. Freshly painted CN GP40-2LW #9590 is in charge of this local.

With the cars past the switch, the local slowly starts backing up down the interchange to the BRC.

Metra Heritage Corridor 919 rolls through with F40PH-2 #111 in the lead.

The CN local now rockets North, probably bound for Hawthorne.
