life can often feel scattered; across different priorities and pursuits and people. it's easy to feel like you're searching for a sense of home in the midst of the chaos, but that reality makes me all the more grateful for these friends who make any place with them feel like home. chicago, your hot dogs might be overrated, but you are not. thank you for your architectural intrigue, your bitterly cold wind chill, and for six days of precious memories with these forever friends.

we felt pretty safe in the daytime! there were areas at night that didn't feel as safe, but we just tried to be more vigilant and planned to be in areas where there were lots of people roaming around

we mostly took the train or bus! the public transportation in chicago was really great, although we did tend to take uber/lyft later at night just to be safe
