I'm hopeful, because after the last ten years as a Bears fan, what else is there to be? They sound like good guys, but so did the last two at first. It really does come down to results on the field, and there's no way to know that until you see it. I don't really care much about whether they have experience or not, everyone has to start somewhere. Every Hall of Famer was a rookie at some point. How many experienced coaches/GM's have you seen have repeated success everywhere they go? Not too many. The first year or two, I'll measure success not just by wins and losses, but by competitiveness in games. If I can watch Bears games without feeling like they're beating themselves, or that the outcome isn't in doubt before halftime, that will show progress.

I always thought Nagy was just a salesman at heart. I never sensed he had a cohesive plan. A real plan must include contingency plans in case things start going wrong. Nagy was seemingly incapable of adapting and evolving. He thought if he just kept talking he could speak it into existence. I frankly found him very bizarre and disconnected from reality. I recall a game three years ago (idk against who) but he called some strange running play off to the left side which required JESPER HORSTED of all people (who was lined up outside the RT) to pull all the way behind the line and block the linebacker or whoever was there. This was NOT an easy block. Horsted was late the first time. The second time he got there but was ineffective. The third time the center got pushed back and Horsted never got there. They actually called that AGAIN later but had a pre-snap penalty. Each time it was called I laughed harder and harder. Who does this besides a Nagy? I would have fired him after the game.

Pole’s press conference was cringy and tough to watch compared to Kwesi’s. Kwesi was cool and smooth in his delivery.

Didn’t know how I would feel but two men who thanked God first is a thumbs up.
