Chicago got the steal. Caruso is a 30 year old injury prone player on an expiring contract. Giddey has a lo of upside and had to sacrifice his game to fit the team. His handles and finishes around the rim are a lot better due to him getting physically stronger.

The bulls have taken a lot of flack for given up Alex for Giddey but the highlights from this game shows what they saw and what they are getting in Josh. I think he is a good player and brings a lot of what the bulls need. If he develops a consistent outside or three-point shot, and keeps improving on his defense then he can be great!

He’s an elite passer, and a high level rebounder, an elite playmaker and a high level, high IQ rebounder. He is a legit 6-8, 6-9 with a 40 inch vertical and is putting on serious muscle. This kid is 21 and won’t turn 22 till October while giving the USA a major scare. He was completely out of position last year playing off ball, but when he is the primary ball handler great things happen. His transition game is also insane and is a very good finisher. He has great foot speed as well and is a good free throw shooter which foreshadows he will become a good shooter.

This last season he had with OKC was completely , because of the thunders “borderline deliberate”mismanagement of him in the rotation as a rebounding small forward to cover a glaring weakness in OKC game The coach didn’t want/like him for some reason but he didn’t have the balls to bench a 6th pick as good as him so he made a mockery of Josh by starting him then only playing him 20 minutes a night and the final kick in the nuts was to totally devalue him to the whole league for one bad night in the playoffs. One of the top 5 passers in the NBA and he is a high level rebounder which makes sense given his physical tools. The kid is 21 years old, he is a college junior. He was also completely out of position on OKC playing off ball. SGA and J Will need the ball in their hands and Giddey had limited opportunities in a system that made zero sense for him. Giddey also had to switch constantly on defense due to the undersized boomers squad. Giddey will unleash havoc on smaller players and if you watched the phoenix game at end of last season he physically dominated baby Booker and KD. Sky is the limit for this 21 year old.

He'll be 22 when the season starts and a four year veteran. The NBA only uses giddy for a rebuild. When a team becomes good there is no use for him. Of course you want the ball in Shai and jdub s hands because they are much better than him. I guess you see what me and Sam presti don't because we both see him as a 6th man on a good team. OKC will find out that trading him was a colossal mistake. 2 years ago he averaged 17/8/6 in only 31 minutes per game. In James Harden's last season with the Thunder he averaged 17/4/4 in 31 minutes. I'm not saying he's going to go on to become what Harden did but that shows you the potential that he has and he's only 21.
