@AzNightmare5 жыл бұрын
*Solid points... Other nations have banned guns after massacres like Australia and gun massacres have ceased. The only problem is that gun culture have been so ingrained into Americans, it's really tough to end it. It's a circular mentality, "We need guns to protect us from people who have guns". It's come to the point where Americans literally feel unsafe without having a gun. And on top of that, because of the (outdated) 2nd amendment, maybe Americans literally relate the right to bear arms as a direct translation to their freedom. Which of course no one wants to give up.*

@happy_little_teacup2 жыл бұрын
unfortunately, this doesn’t go for all medical professional; going to such lengths isn’t something every doctor does, or even cares enough to consider sometimes. after all, this is a tv drama, so realism isn’t exactly its primary plot focus. in saying that though, there truly are some amazing doctors - _and nurses_ - in this world, and the deserve SO much more credit (and funding) than they really get. and, while i absolutely love tv shows like this (i.e. house, scrubs, grey’s anatomy), ill always still favour the LIVE medical ‘documentary’-esque type of MD shows for that reason. it showcases real nurses, emts, and doctors saving real lives, and all the real sweat, blood, and tears that they put into their work. plus, you can’t help but to get invested knowing there’s living, breathing people who are genuinely in need, as opposed to knowing it’s scripted and there’s no one really in danger again though, don’t get me wrong, i still _adore_ chicago med, and think they did a really good job portraying both the good and bad of what that line of work entails. the overall character building - while sometimes a bit cheesy - is always enjoyable too, even after going back years later to re-live all over again♥️

I never understood the argument for banning guns “yeah well they can still get guns illegally” yes. You can say that about many illegal things, drugs, bombs etc. However, it would still massively restrict it because now instead of popping round the corner to buy a gun, they now need to find someone to smuggle one in.
@michaelswagson44575 жыл бұрын
Gangbangers most of the time don't buy their guns legally. They get them from the same kinds of people who would sell you stolen cars, illegal drugs etc. You might ask yourself, where those dealers get their guns from. Most of the time they are stolen from either gun stores, military warehouses or other places, where guns are being stored in large numbers. This fact is most evident in Europe, since most illegal guns here (even in the countries with a large number of legal gun owners) are cheap soviet ex military and police firearms, that went to the black market after the USSR collapsed.
@phucn44595 жыл бұрын

Cigarettes and alcohol are legal in the UK and yet they are still sold illegally by gangs, gun crime has not gone down since they were banned. When guns were legal they were still being bought illegally (or stolen) by criminals to commit crimes. Banning guns has had no positive impact on crime reduction and has only served to make the law abiding more vulnerable.

I don't know how it works in the rest of the world, but in my slice of the Canada that's the last stepping stone to paramedic level training. A profession I'd love to get into. I know a lot of theory with 5 years experience. Someone point me out if I'm wrong cause I'm always up to learn, however, what I've been trained to do for a pneumo(hemo)thorax is to apply an occlusive dressing (imagine a piece of Saran wrap with sticky tape on three sides) over the gsw so the untaped side is open to allow for drainage downward. When our casualty inhales, the wrap is sucked tight to the wound so no air or dirt leaks into the chest cavity/lung. Opening to let air and fluids out on exhale. Never seen one used in person and maybe there are factors I'm unaware of, but puncturing the opposite lung to reinflate the collapse is what would get you malpractice sued so quick.

why are season 3 episodes being uploaded when like season 5 is already out isn’t it dumb?
@AzNightmare5 жыл бұрын
*Because these uploads are not meant to be in chronological order. They're just random snippets from anywhere in the series to entice you to buy the entire series so then you can choose to watch it in chronological order.*
