I completely agree with Badger about how being alone is the real scary experience of this game. Not only because, unlike the rest of the time, you don't hear other players, but also because the game has a "hidden" sanity measurement feature that it uses for all sorts of things. If you're alone and/or in a dark place for too long, your sanity will decrease, gradually prompting the game to play random ambience sounds that range from something falling on the ground in a distant hallway to a creepy laughter that seems close to you (that laughter was at first wrongly thought to be the Bracken, but it's just ambience). These noises often have the effect of making you turn around frantically when you hear them, which will be accounted for 2 things : the post-mission notes given to employees, one of which being "most paranoid" that is awarded to the player who turns around the most, and on medium and hard moons it will determine the target of the ghost girl, who targets players based on sanity level and paranoïa. Despite all the funny things we can do in this game, the horror aspect is really well done. And another note : there's currently a public beta available to test the upcoming update for the game, which will bring 2 new ennemies : Butlers, which are creepy butlers passively sweeping the floors as long as players are together but will whip out a knife and start chasing you if you're alone (they can't open doors, at least for now), and Old Birds, which are gigantic robots attacking everything in sight, including monsters, with tons of missiles. The major difference about Old Birds compared to other enemies is the fact that there's a fixed number for each map, they'll always be spawned at the same location but will be inactive until the sun goes down. Once night comes, they will activate. These new monsters will be mostly present on the 3 new moons, a free medium moon set in the forest environment, a 1500 credits moon that isn't on the terminal but of which you can find the name written in a cabin of the medium moon, and a third moon that is supposed to be hidden (though a friend of mine made us visit it), costs 150 credits to visit and has at least 20 giant robots outside. The robots on that moon will all become active if someone takes the generator (or once night falls), which I did once and somehow managed to survive all of them and bring the generator back to the ship before leaving.

@@stormtendo There's also another thing to her : if she kills a player, she'll start targeting another, and if anyone sees another player get killed by the ghost girl, then their sanity drops immensely, making it almost certain that they'll be the next target. The most common tactic when she appears is for the affected player to run back to the ship without looking behind them, and to stay in the ship to look at the monitors. The ghost girl cannot enter chase mode if she's not looked at by the target, and she can only spawn a few meters behind them, out of their sight. While she will appear on the camera that is facing the back of the ship, that does not count towards triggering her, so she can be kept at bay as long as the target avoids looking back at her.

So he really doesn't explain why things sell at different prices on different days. Risk and Reward. Say you have $100 worth of scrap. If you sell it 1 day before quota you will only get $70. If you sell it when quota is due then you get $100. But why? Well if you go on a mission and everyone dies then you lose ALL the scrap you had laying around. Anything unsold is completely at risk if the party wipes. So you need to choose if you sell it for less or you risk surviving another run.

It can be actually extremely rewarding to play lethal company by staying in the ship. I was watching Insym and his group of experienced LC player friends and they were marveling at how much their friend at the ship was helping them. She could momentarily deactivate turrets and did so everytime they needed it, whatever the number, she deactivated mines if they accidentally stepped on them, she opened security doors for them and closed them at monsters, she teleported them exactly when they needed her to, she guided them to loot... It's not something anyone can do and she was very skilled at it and praised for it.
