You can see how "Matrix," shattering as it was to the ivory-ticklers and Garland/Kelly/Flanagan clones, was only the first of a one-two punch; for anyone reeling but still standing, "Steps" would finish them off. Interesting to see how they're related, and how colossal levels of abstraction are grounded in tommy-gun pentatonics. And of course Miroslav the perfect foil. Thank you, Michael!
