Every time I see a chickadee, I think of my Nana who loved them so. Really nice tutorial. I will watch more of them for a while and if I get the courage, I will try this myself. Thank you. 🙂♥

100% agreed with you, Cinnamon. Old school is still cool, art collectors prefer handpainted than any digitals pieces. Nothing digital or AI is worth the $ than a world class handpainted pieces.

Hi John and Cinnamon. Thank you for sharing your talents and providing your support. This chickadee is adorable. I was wondering if in the future it would be possible to zoom in really close when Cinnamon is doing fine details. Basically, if she's using a #1 liner, its too difficult to see what she is doing when the camera is poised on the whole painting. I hope other people find this suggestion helpful too. Thanks again for all that you do! Terry

I agree. In My state we get many of the Carolina birds, even though I live in the central northern state. I am 75, and no offense but she did not know off her tongue what bird this bird she is copying from. Her anatomy is off, in the doing her bird, that she is coping from. Glad she ENJOYS Painting. Using the hairdryer is not important, and can have negative results later. I myself am 75, and my budget is too low to afford to do a pod cast. Nor do I have time. TRYING TO DO all the wildlife I had seen , and know. where I live, including Trillium , lady's slippers, Fire Pinks, lupine. ferns, certain insects include, If you paint may help to follow the GOLDEN RULE of 3rds, or golden Means. Do not have to be accurate, Nature isn't always exact. but it helps to keep your viewer staying longer. OWEN GROMME was the person who taught me as a child. I met without knowing who he was ROBERT PAINTING , while sketching some geese in a Park he bought and donated to TORONTO. He like my work. Unfortunate lose to all my supplies, when someone had stolen all my sketch books, paintings, and art supplies. I could no longer continue to go to school , and with a small child had to find a job, that did not require knowing trade skills. I am retired so I can paint but my budget is just making ends meet.

Thanks for another great tutorial. You're truly a gifted teacher, Cinnamon. My two cents worth about AI art.... Since 'art' is an expression of each individual's talent/personality/emotions/vision/perspective/intellect/culture and even historical worldview, it remains unique among humans. A.I, by definition is artificial and can never truly reflect the heart and soul of a human, IMO.

Valid opinion. 💛

I loved this tutorial. I can't wait for more birds! My 96 year old aunt and I can't see each other due to covid issues, but I share birds I see in my yard with her. She is stuck inside. She and I spied a yellow breasted chat and she was so excited. It took us a while to identify together but we did it! It was a real bonding moment for us. Is there any chance at all you can paint one of them? I'd love to send her a painting for her birthday. I can't thank you enough for all you do. Happy Holidays.

Hopefully AI art will make the art made by people more valuable because it will become more rare. People with taste for "real" art will be glad to pay more for it.

QUESTION: why wouldn’t you paint the canvas 1st and then sketch in the bird?
@TheArtSherpa2 жыл бұрын
You can do that if you want, sometimes it is best to paint in the subject first, an example would be if the background is dark and the subject is light 🤎

The photo you are using did you or your husband take photo of, or get it off line, or from a magazine? YOUR bird Anatomy is off, in body. I myself sort of know their classifies names, but not able to roll of my tongue their group Latin breed names. ART is a form of exercising the BRAIN. and to help others learn to appreciate wildlife. Also it helps Wildlife to find a way to earn a spot back into ART GALLERIES. Many art critics say Wildlife is just copying art, yet art galleries will accept a painting of a sink full of dirty dishes as real art.
