Ok. All you haters. You might want to sit down for this…There is this feature on KZbin called the “pause button”. I know I know, it’s probably completely new to some of y’all but if you push it when you want the video to stop, the video will stop. It’s amazing!!! She doesn’t need to slow the video down, you just need to use a feature that was installed in humans brains (that most people haven’t developed) called “patience”. This was my first try at amigurumi and my chubby chicken is so adorable! I made it about twice as big by doing a couple more increase rows but your pattern was such a helpful start! This was such a fun tutorial. I made it and I would say it turn out good. I did struggle with the hook size so I used a 7.0mm sized hook.

Yes! Sometimes that happens depending on the yarn, the same yarn from the same brand may differ. For my blueberry pattern I used a bigger hook and I used the same blanket yarn as my chickens

Awesome pattern! Today I made my 3rd chicken :) One thing: I used regular 3.5 mm yarn and the shape doesn't look exactly like it turned out for you, with bulky yarn. I mean, instead of turning out like a cat head, it turns out like a banana. But it's still cute though! ✨🐔

It can be a 5mm or a 6mm with the yarn kind I'm using

Depends on your yarn. Read the instructions on the skein, use the smallest recommended size or go one down and you're good to go.
