Natasha Nydia passed away last December. She was hit by a drunk driver while walking on the sidewalk to a dentist appt. I believe. She has a a Facebook page as well. Her husband posted the terrible news on her page.

RECIPE: 3 pounds of chicken, 1tsp paprika, 2tbs of tomato paste, 3 bay leaves, 3/4 can tomato sauce, 1 onion, 1 red pepper, 1 green pepper, 1tbs minced garlic, 2 tbs of butter, salt/pepper to taste, 6 potatoes, ~15 olives, 1 cup wine (chardonnay used here, but grape juice is perfect too), 4tsp olive oil, and 2 packets of sazon (you can make your own, its healthier/ Homemade Sazón Seasoning)

Thank you so much for your wonderful recipes and for giving the instructions in English and Spanish. I am a latin from Manhattan, New York and was never allowed to speak Spanish at home. My Father was afraid of being discriminated against so we could only speak English. I could understand when my parents spoke Spanish and wished I knew more. OMG I just made this tonight for both my husband and I dinner for tomorrow when we get off work. I tried some though and it's amazing. I also made your picadillo as well for tonight dinner and it was great. My husband is American and I am half cuban/half Japanese and my husbands never had authentic Spanish foods and I never really knew how to make these dinners so thank you so much for Sharing your recipes and making it so easy with step by step directions for us people at home... hi nydia i watched your video and tried to follow very carefully but when it came time to add the 4 tsp of olive oil, it was never the amount in your caldera. it seemed more like 1/4 cup. is that correct? thanks cindy.

esa hoja verde es culantro? en Cuba se usa tanto culantro como cilantro, son plantas distintas con sabor similar, ahora estoy haciendo esta receta de fricasé de pollo y como no tengo vino usi vino seco. Saludos

+Mary Rivera Depending in what I'm cooking.. if chicken I usually use Chardonay.. if meat Spanish Riojas.. I also like to use dry white wines like Pinot .. Nydia

Nydias; Does anyone make a good canned sofrito? I don't like the red Goya sofrito in the glass jar so much. I have had good sofrito that was green.
