The term “Latino” was more of a stigma and/or derogatory toward the Africans and Natives that the FRENCH in “Latin America” started, used as a separation mark. It meant you belonged to the French (Non British or Spanish). The term “Hispanic” was designed to diminish your Native and/or African ancestry. You can pour sprinkles on shit all you want, it’s still SHIT and will never magically turn into a cake, And those of us that know this are the ones offended by the sneakiness and ignorance.

As a Puerto Rican myself I can say you have my approval 100 percent! Reminds me of the pollo guisado my mom's used to make. She passed away 6 years ago and I cook for myself now so this will be my next dish. Thank you for the recipe.

Tammy - I’m new here but I’ve tried your recipe twice and each time it’s been 5 stars with the family. The tomato sauce, cilantro and the lime is a cut above everyone else’s recipe to use tomato paste. It tastes more like the stuff you get from our Puerto Rican stores that are soooo yum. And I’m originally from the Bronx so I had a really good comparison gauge!
