Chicken Kalia with Turmeric Rice & Mango Lassi | Kalia Poulet avec riz saffran et lassi de mangue

Chicken Kalia, is a chicken curry from Mauritius that is prepared with yoghurt and lots of spices.

Ingredients
Marination - 1hour
1 kg Chicken
1 TBSP Ginger /Garlic paste
1 cup Yogurt
1/4 tsp Black pepper
2 TBSP Cumin powder
A pinch Turmeric
1 big Onion
5 cloves
3 Cardamom
1/2 cup Fried Onion ( Half for marination and half for curry)
1/2 cup Mint (chopped)
1/2 cup Coriander (chopped)
1 TSP Saffron + 1/2 cup water
Chilli green optional
Fry potatoes
4 potatoes
Salt to taste
Pinch of Yellow Food Colouring or Turmeric
Boil Eggs - 3-5
Cooking
